WHY SPONSORSHIP EXISTS
Grants to families and the events that fund them are two different things.
The Horse of Many Colors is best known for our grants given to families and individuals battling cancer. But those grants can only happen because someone else covers the cost of putting on the events that raise them.
Sponsorship dollars fund the operational side of HMC: venue costs, auction procurement, printing, merchandise production, vendor payments, and the other real costs of running our signature events. Our corporate sponsors make it possible.
This is distinct from individual donations and grant-designated gifts, which go directly to families.

Sponsorship FAQ
What does my sponsorship actually pay for?
Sponsorship funds the operational side of our events — venue costs, auction procurement, printing, merchandise production, vendor payments, and other real costs of running our signature events. Individual donations and ticket sales are what go directly to families through our Ride Through the Storm grants. Sponsorship is what makes those events — and those grants — possible.
Is my sponsorship tax-deductible?
Yes. The Horse of Many Colors Cancer Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 47-5235570). Your sponsorship is a charitable donation and is tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Zeffy will email you a receipt immediately after payment.
How does the Platinum tier differ from Gold?
The key difference is event tickets: Platinum sponsors receive tickets to BOTH flagship events — 10 Dinner Tickets AND 4 Golf Tickets — no choice required. Gold sponsors receive tickets to one flagship event of their choosing: either 10 Dinner Tickets or 4 Golf Tickets. Both tiers receive a dedicated individual social media spotlight.
What's the difference between a dedicated spotlight and a grouped shoutout?
Platinum and Gold sponsors receive a dedicated, individual feature post — a social media and public post entirely about your business, with your logo, your "why we support HMC" story, and a link to your website. Silver and Bronze sponsors receive a grouped thank-you post that includes all sponsors at that tier. Both are genuine recognition — they're just structured differently.
How do I reserve my event tickets after paying?
After your sponsorship is processed, our team will reach out with redemption codes. Platinum sponsors receive two codes — one for the dinner and one for golf. Gold sponsors receive one code for their chosen event. We recommend redeeming as soon as you receive the code, as availability is limited, especially for the dinner.
What is the banner deadline?
To guarantee your company name appears on the printed "Thank You" banner at all 2027 HMC events, your sponsorship commitment must be received by December 31, 2026. Sponsorships committed after this date will still receive all other tier benefits, but cannot be guaranteed banner inclusion.
Does any of my sponsorship go to platform fees?
No — we use Zeffy, which charges zero platform fees to nonprofits. 100% of your sponsorship reaches the Foundation.
